9 October 2005

Brookfiled Wis, USA. Tunstall, a UK-based leader in telecare and telehealth solutions, has announced a distribution and alliance agreement with Honeywell HomMed(R), a leading provider of remote patient monitoring devices in the United States.

"We are delighted to be able to offer Honeywell HomMed as part of our telecare and telemedicine portfolio," said James Buckley, Tunstall's Chief Executive Officer. "This alliance will help us to deliver more proactive models of care for the management of chronic diseases as part of the Government's national service framework."

Tunstall will be offering Honeywell's HomMed Genesis monitor throughout the United Kingdom, allowing health care professionals to monitor their patients' vital signs daily. As a result, if patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, congestive heart failure and lung disorders, suffer a change in health status, proactive medical intervention can take place. To date, more than 350,000 patients have benefited from Honeywell HomMed remote patient monitors.

There are already 300 clinical sites using HomMed Genesis. "This alliance will now give us valuable means of introducing the Honeywell HomMed remote monitoring solution into the European market," said Herschel Peddicord, Honeywell HomMed's president and Chief Executive Officer.
