Digital radiography road show to tour Scotland
14 December 2005
Xograph Imaging Systems has launched a series of Digital Radiography (DR)
road-shows starting in Scotland in the New Year. The aim is to demonstrate
the key benefits of ‘going digital’ to radiology departments.
The hands-on road-show will visit Scottish hospitals to demonstrate
operational equipment so that radiology staff can ‘test-drive’ it in the
their own environment. Technology available for staff to view includes the
Canon CXDI range of portable flat panel detectors acclaimed for mobility and
instant imaging, plus Xograph’s innovative flat screen medical display
systems that provide high-resolution digital image quality.
Digital Radiography increases patient throughput by speeding up the
examination process and reducing waiting times. Digital X-ray images are
produced in less than 3 seconds after exposure and can be networked across
the hospital for rapid diagnosis and even onward transmission to other
sites.
The compact size and lightweight design of the flat panel detector also
enables it to be used outside the normal confines of the radiology
department — in trauma, triage, intensive care and paediatric situations.
Xograph’s Territory Manager for Scotland, Steve Taylor, will be on-hand
to answer questions and provide detailed information on the benefits that
portable DR technology can offer users, patients and the hospitals as a
whole.
