Converging nanotechnology with the life science industry: Nano4Life 2010

The Nano 4 Life 2010 conference on
converging nanotechnology with the life science industry will be held on Thursday 4th February 2010 at the
Wellcome Trust Gibbs Building in London.

The conference is organised by the Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) in collaboration with The Wellcome Trust, and will explore the key areas within the life sciences where nanotechnology offers the most opportunity to advance healthcare provision, improve product discovery and development, and help keep the UK a leading force in this exciting technology area.

The event will use keynote speeches from industry leaders and renowned academics in the field, to explore ways in which nanotechnology will enable advances in life science commercialisation.

Speakers

The keynote speaker will be Sir William Castell, Chairman of Board of Governors of The Wellcome Trust and Board Member of BP and General Electric. There will be sessions on funding opportunities at the Welcome Trust, nanotechnology in drug discovery, clinical trials infrastructure,, clinical nanomedicine, tissue engineering, surgical imaging, biosensors and diagnostics
