Accovion expands presence in Europe

21 Dec 2010

Accovion, a German company specialising in managing and conducting international clinical trials, and supporting projects for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, has established two additional subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and in Russia.

Ivana Waller, Chief Operating Officer of Accovion, stated: "We have been conducting clinical research activities for our clients in the Czech Republic and Russia for some time now. Our new affiliate offices help strengthen our base, give us better access to the local clinical research talent and enable us to be even more responsive to our clients' growing needs.

"We were very pleased to bring on board two experienced Managing Directors — Dr Jiri Skopek for our Prague office and Dr Nikolay Odintsov for our Moscow office. I am confident that under their business leadership and with their clinical research expertise, our operations in both countries will continue to flourish.”

In 2011, Accovion’s strategic plan includes formalizing activities in several other European countries by establishing additional subsidiaries. With its active, well-planned expansion, Accovion aims to offer its clients a broader spectrum of country-specific clinical research expertise.
